FIRST BLOOD DRIVE FOR CURE DAY CLINICS ERASMUSKLOOF
Cure Day Clinics Erasmuskloof had their first Blood Drive on Saturday 25th of July. Former Mr SA, John Owens hosted the event and brought along Current Mr SA Armand du Plessis and second runner up Morné Marais to help support this wonderful cause. SANBS was joined by The Sunflower Fund and CANSA and the day proved to be a big success.
SANBS is a non-profit organisation that relates to the provision of blood and blood products. A donor must be sixteen years of age, weigh at least fifty kilograms and not have donated blood within the previous 56 days.
The Sunflower Fund’s aim is to increase the number of bone marrow stem cell donors in South Africa. All you have to do to register is call the Toll Free Number 0800 12 10 82, and to give two tubes of your blood.
CANSA’s purpose is to lead the fight against cancer in South Africa. Its mission is to be the preferred non-profit organisation that enables research, educates the public and provides support to all people affected by cancer.
After the great success of this initiative, events like this will be held at least 4 times a year. A big thank you to everyone involved!
